I have a 1984 kx250 and am having trouble kickstarting it. It is hard to kickstart no matter if it is cold or hot. It starts right up when i bump start it. The carb is clean as a whistle, the reeds look good, has new gas, new plug with good spark, and the compression seems good but i have not put a gauge on it. When it starts it runs and idles perfect. :ride: Any help would be appreciated

Probably the reeds are worn out and not sealing well to the reed block. They may look good but if there are any gaps it will be hard to start.
