How do I tell when I've put enough tranny oil in my 1983 Suzuki RM125?

The Clymer manual says 800ccs if drained... (which I had just drained it before hand and let it drip for about 10 minutes)

For sure there has to be a way to find out when its full other than just measuring it out? :yikes:

Most manuals tell you, well you have to read it,the dry and wet fills. Some have overfill holes and some even dipsticks. Running a little over is better in my opinion. That number on the case is the dry fill.

If you have the manual it should tell you.

On the bikes that I own there is a small screw that you remove down low, about 1/4 the way up from the bottom. If oil dribbles out of this hole it is "full".

For reasons I don't understand Yamaha likes to put this screw in places that is hard to get to. On my son's YZ-250 I have to remove the rear brake pedal to get to the screw. Okay, I don't "have to" but I can remove and reinstall the pedal a lot faster than trying to fiddle the screw in behind it.
