I recently tried to reassemble my 88 KDX 200. I bought a piston kit new in the box from e bay. It was packaged exactly like the last one I bought for my 97' was. Has been sittin in the cabinet for a couple months now. Anyhow, my girlfriend tried helping me get the cylinder on the piston. Would not go. Took it to a friend and had him try to help me. Still wouldn't go. Pulled the piston off the rod and tried to get it in the cylinder. I couldn't believe it, but the piston is just too big, it will not fit in the cylinder at all. It was tricky getting it on the cylinder when I did my 97' KDX, but there is no getting this piston to fit. I'm not sure if it's just a manufacturing defect, overbore piston, or what. If I had a caliper I'd check the O.D. but I don't have one. I filled out the form on Wiseco's website 2 days ago but haven't heard from them yet. Has anybody ran into this problem? All I want them to do is exhange this one for the correct size.
