Just bought my son a new 05 YZ 85 and was wondering if there's anything I need to do it in order to get it "track ready". Any concerns or problem areas I need to keep an eye out for? Jetting suggestions/recommendations right off the bat? (elev. sea level). Thanks for any and all replies.

Depending on your local the stock jetting is a little rich which might cause plug fouling. Keep and eye on the spokes. Using a better quality chain when new will save you money in the long run. IMO running FMF P/C-2 (not the shorty) the bike run's cleaner and from what my Son say's has a better/easier to ride low to mid transition without killing the top-end like the FMF shorty or the R-304.
Good Luck
