2013 Yamaha YZ250F | Dirt Rider 250F MX Shootout
Here is the fourth video in our line up of 250 MX Shootout Roundtables where we get after the 2013 Yamaha YZ250F. For this year, Yamaha made some minor tweaks to the bike, most likely cooking up something big for 2014. As the lone carbureted 250F in the class, the YZ250F was expected to have EFI for 2013, yet that is not the case. And, as we discuss in the video, having a carburetor is not a bad thing. Right out of the crate, the Yamaha’s suspension set-up is race ready and usable for a wide variety of riders and unlike some other 250F’s, the YZ has a good amount of over-rev that lets the rider stay in the same gear longer. As with it’s bigger brother, the Yamaha gets a white rear fender and a house-branded handlebar. Check out what Dirt Rider Editors Chris Denison, Adam Booth and Kris Keefer think about the blue bike and grab the March 2013 issue of Dirt Rider to read the full 2013 250F MX Shootout.
