Hi Guys
Greetings from Sunny Namibia.
I'm fixing the kickstarter on an '00 ktm 125sx. The kickstarter run through it's stroke, making a clacking noise without turning the motor.
I've disassembled the starter assembly. The kickstarter spur gears are ok. The engagement ratchet/dogs on the side of the main gear are a little worn. This ratchet mechanism seems to be disengaging when you kick start.
Before I order a new kickstarter ratchet and gear (fairly expensive), could anybody that knows a bit more / has experience in this regard please give an opinion?
