00 YZ250 Jetting

Hey, what's up? I have a 2000 YZ250 that only has a Pro Circuit pipe. I bought the bike a couple months ago, and it wouldn't idle without the choke on, but the bike seemed to ride really good above idle though (revved and delivered just like most other 250s Ive ridden.

Anyway, I went on Pro Circuits web site and they reccomended "172 main, 48 pilot and clip on 2nd pos" and said stock was "170 main, 50 pilot and clip on 3rd pos". The dude at the dealership said the PC website didn't sound right, so I wanted to double check with you guys and see what you might be running on a similar setup.

Also, when they say 2nd position that's the 2nd position from the top right? Thanks guys!!!

For the idle and choke, sound like a lean pilot jet.. or maby the carb need some cleaning too!.

for the jetting, no jetting spec/number is gonna be right so you should consider: http://www.dirtrider.net/forums3/showthread.php?t=42618
