I road mine in the woods at Cooperland and I can say that a gear change would be in order. Add a couple of teeth in the back maybe because 1st gear is long. A flywheel weight may help for the slower stuff to help stalling. Soften up the suspension alot, mine was real stiff for the track and it was tough to get traction. I clutched it alot due to the gearing but all in all it was real light to manuever in the tight stuff.

seems like most the top pros ride mx bikes, so they must be good for enduro and hs..but then again, they are fast enough to keep the rpm up.

Eric Gorr's Mo Power everywhere porting and V-Force reeds on the low tension setting make a huge difference in low end grunt for the woods. I run stock gearing with this set up have have no problem in the slow tight stuff. You may want a flywheel weight but I personally don't like them because I loose that snap when I twist the throttle. I ride MX too so I like the hard hit when I'm on the track.

MX Tech does a great gob with the suspension. My forks track straight through even the nastiest rocks and roots. Definitely worth the bucks but not a must. The forks do need to be re-valved though. There is a mid stroke harshness that you can never tune out and it can beat the heck out of you in the woods and the track.
