I'm a little unsure on this but, does the 03 450EXC have any sort of revised turning ability over an 02 model. I've heard all the stuff over the off-set triple clamps and would like to try a set out when I get my new scoot, only if the 03's still have a problem with vague turning ability. Oh, and does anyone have an idea of a fair price on a new 450E on the east coast.

That's a good question. The 450SX has different offset triple clamps from the factory so the answer there is clearly yes. The MXC/EXC is hard to say. 6mm larger axle and 5mm larger forks could mean the front wheel center was pushed out 5.5mm. But my 03 450E seemed to turn just as well with the stock clamps as my 01 400E did with 18's. I suspect, but don't know for sure, that the head tube was pulled back a little on the 03 frame. It's hard to measure it all, though. At any rate, the 03 steers very well with the proper springs and sag.

I think www.cyclezonektm.com is an advertiser here now. Give them a call for pricing.
