the 02 power valves are different than the 03.i know this cause i have a 03 and bought a used 02 cylinder for a spare and the valves aren't even close.
I think at this point I'm going with the stock bore and porting, have talked to others that have expressed concern about the 265 kit weakening the exhaust bridge and eventually breaking, not at first but down the road. Since my bore is fine except for the plating, I think I'll just have it plated.
Big bore! Guaranteed you'd be happy. If I ever got another '02cr250, it would get the big bore treatment before I even rode it. It makes THAT much difference. The piston should never touch the exhaust bridge.
