04 crf 250 timing

I just put new shims in and now I can't get the bike to start, I think it might be 180 out of time. when the motor is at top dead center should the cam lobes be facing towards the front of the bike or towards the back? they where facing the front when I pulled the cam out( I think ) I did have the tdc marks lined up. any help would be great. Thanks

The lobes should face to the rear..

I always take a quick pic with a phone or cheap digi camera when I do this type of stuff. Only because I learned the hard way.
