Hi folks,
I just bought a new YZ85 for velcroboy, and he likes the bike, BUT, this bike has NO bottom end power at all. :( it's all pipe. now to me, it sounds like it is way too rich on the bottom 1/4, and i think rejetting the pilot might help some, and maybe a different pipe, but not sure where to go from there. I'm a KDX guy, not a YZ guy, and velcro wanted more power for jumping. well he got it. first time out on it yesturday, he flips it. LOL when the pipe comes on, IT COMES ON! :aj: i gotta make this thing a little tamer........ any suggestions will be looked in to. thanks guys.....

i bought a new '03 cr 85 expert for my daughter in june. it was the same way. it was so pipey that she actually was slower. it pretty much wouldn't run unless it was pinned. we rejetted, then went one tooth smaller on the front sprocket and it made all the difference in the world. now, she is able to ride to her abilities and is having fun again. easy and cheap fix.
