05 yzf popping on deacceleration NEW BIKE??

Once I get off the throttle the popping begins. Sounds clean during acceleration. Is this normal on a new bike.. Less than 3 hours.

Does the popping hurt the engine? new to 4 stroke motors..

You are lean on the pilot circuit. Turn out the fuel screw untill the popping goes away. If you end up more than 2.75 turns out, bump the pilot up one step and start over.

Slight popping is ok. Excessive popping means too lean like Phil said, or a posible air leak (intake or exhaust).

Is the popping bad for your bike, does it do damage?
