Stock rear rim size is 19 - 1.85. Has any one run a 2.15 wide rim on a 125? Any advantages or disadvantages? I'm asking because I can get a nice set front and rear ready to go but the rear rim is wider than stock and not sure if I will run into any issues.

The 2.15 rim and tire will be heavier than the 1.85. Now more the limited power of your 125 will be spent spinning up that heavier wheel and tire combo.

If Yamaha thought a 2.15 was a better idea, it would have been on there from the factory.

a lot of the works 125 bikes used to use the 2.15 rim with the regular 100 width rear tire in order to get a better footprint for the tire.

it should be fine IMO.
