Hey guys i need 2 locate a 1974 MT125 piston standard size. well.. i have a piston i could just use new rings but the piston as some little like dents in it and some deposits on the top. Would u suggest looking for a new piston or just the rings. i mean the piston isnt bad. i guess rings will do. Does anyone know where i can find 1974 MT125 piston rings standard size?

According to my manual the MT125 used the same piston as the 74-75 CR125. :yikes:

Why would using a 74-75 CR125 piston be yikes? is there something wrong with these pistons or is that a good thing? or do u just mean i'll never find it....thanks

OK instead of 'yikes' how's this? :yeehaw: Don't read too much into the 'smiles' :bang: . You should be able to order one from a decent parts dealer. Do some internet research to get parts numbers and such. Check Wiseco to see if they still make one. Some parts dealers parts book don't go that far back, but many old bike parts are available, you just have to do the research.

Try BikeBandit.com for your parts.I had a new 1974 Mt125 when I was 13 or 14 years old when I saw your post I was taken back to my good old days as a teenager and all the fun I had on that bike! Good Luck
