ive got a couple of questions, i have a 1974 yamaha mx 125
where should i go to get a new throttle cable?, i have looked all over and can't find it
also, i know i need to get a manual, but does anyone know what fuel to oil i should run?, i have been running 40;1
thanks
You'll get a hundred different answers for the fuel/oil question. I think Yamaha recommended 20:1. Many consider today's oil better than that widely available in 1974 so they run a little less than manufacturer recommended. I like 28:1 or 32:1 for older 125 engines, but that's me.
There is nothing special (that I'm aware of) about your throttle cable. Try Dennis Kirk online to order one. As long as the ends are right and it isn't too long, you shouldn't have any problems. Or take your cable to local dealer and they should be able to fix you up, too.
