You'll get a hundred different answers for the fuel/oil question. I think Yamaha recommended 20:1. Many consider today's oil better than that widely available in 1974 so they run a little less than manufacturer recommended. I like 28:1 or 32:1 for older 125 engines, but that's me.
There is nothing special (that I'm aware of) about your throttle cable. Try Dennis Kirk online to order one. As long as the ends are right and it isn't too long, you shouldn't have any problems. Or take your cable to local dealer and they should be able to fix you up, too.

Your 125 revs higher than my 250 but I run 32:1 in my '74 MX250 with race porting and PVL ignition.

Motion Pro and Terry cables make a throttle cable for your bike. Remember the '75 model MX and YZ parts will interchange also.

didn't mean to topic hijack.. but for clearification..

If I own an 1975 MX250, I can get parts from a 1975 YZ250? And they'll work? Thank you in advance..

There are very few parts from the '75 MX and '75 YZ that interchange. In 1975 the YZ was still a limited production bike.

Some engine parts, like rod kits will definately fit, but I would not be sure about the other parts.
