Hi guys, I am new on here and was wondering if anyone knew how much oil I put in the crank case of a 1979 yz 125 2 stroke. Please any info would be appreciated.

In the newer ones I believe its 750ml. is it not printed up on the clutch cover somewhere?

A manual could and should have the info you need

You will probably find a level screw on the front of the clutch cover near the end of the crank (the only screw not on the edge of the cover) and after you put in your 650 cc or 0.65 of a litre you sit your bike upright and level and should get a few drips out the level hole. If none comes out you may need to add 50 ccand let the extra dribble out.

I will try that, that would be the Phillips head screw on the side of the case right while all the rest or on the edges

your welcome, I had an F model that had a DT175 motor fitted, got some good enduro results on it in about 1980 (wish I was that young now)
