1989 CR125R 1st gear problems

i had justgot done replacing the waterpump the seals shaft and bearings i get it all back together and i had a baldish back tire after a day of riding i could feel 1st gear jumping alot like the teeth were off the gear or somthing thats when i stoped riding it striped thebike down to the frame and im trying to split the motor and i cant figure out how to do it i cant get a small enough puller to pull the clutch if thats what i have to do but what do you think is going to have to be done?

The jumping you felt could be a bunch of things could have been chain slack, or your shifter drums bad, or your gears. you shouldn't need a puller to pull the clutch out though, if you have it this far I would go ahead and find myself a manual spit the cases and check your shifter drum and tranny teeth
