1990 cr500r sparkplug heatrange

Will i harm my bike if i put in a BR7 in place of a BR8?? i'm riding in woods only. use about quarter throttle. 170m, 55sj, 3rd pos needle, 40 degrees F. Thanks

A BR7--- Will be fine in place of a BR8 in a 500 in almost any circumstance except for sand dunes or MX (If you can really ride the 500 full open all of the time). The BR7 will be especially beneficial during woods riding however.
