Hi All..

I am rebuilding the top end on this bike and have a question.

The rod is showing some wear and figure I will replace it, but when looking at Kawasaki for parts number they have 2 rod listings.

49046-1065 - ( - DX200EE011340)

and

49046-1069 - ( DX200EE011341 - )

My first thought is to go with the first part number. Is there a difference in the rods?

Thanks! Joe

I don't know what the difference is or if they are interchangeable but the way they are listed is that the 1065 part is for biles with the lower engine serial numbers and the 1069 is for the later engines. The DX200EE... is the engine number. A quick call to Fredette may be helpful since he could probably tell you what the difference is and whether they will interchange. Might as well thank him for his knowledge and buy the part from him also.

Okay, now this all makes sense. I cleaned off the engine and found the number. EE012131. So I figure I will order the later of the 2 I listed.

Thanks for the input. It helped clarify things.
