Just curious if anyone knows what parts are compatible with a 1990. Right now im looking for a kickstarter, plastic, a seat, or cover. is there any charts around for these bikes.

I'm not sure what you mean by compatible, but if it's replacement parts you want, I use Dennis Kirk. You can order a free catalog from them, and browse all of their parts list. They would have everything you would need for ALL your parts for your 90 YZ. Good luck

Check out world of power sports.com they have all the part numbers you'll need. For Yamaha's

I have used powersports. They are the nicest people I have ever delt with on the phone. Excellent customer service.

BUT......Dont hold your hand on your A** waiting for the parts. I believe they may actually have the Yamaha parts shipped from Japan by burro. My last order for basic things was 3 1/2 weeks.

thanks- was going to look at ebay for some of those parts. What i was trying to find out is how often do they switch parts on these bikes. Parts on my banshee are almost all the same though the model years- just a few changes.

the 89 and 90 are pretty much the same the 91-92 YZ had new plastic thats pretty much it. if you want plastic go to maier-mfg.com they have dark blue to make it look like a new yz or black or white its sick

yeah you guys are right those are good places but it's a little hard to find stuff
for late 80's early 90's most of the time they have 93 and up or 96 and up
i know because i have a 92 yz 125 that i needed some parts for.i coudn't find much so i ordered right from yamaha where my brother works.

The local shop was great about getting parts for my brothers 82 YZ. Look for a shop that has been in business a long time. They will stock things from way back.

I went to Don Vescos shop to get my stuff 75% of the tp end parts were in stock for the 82!!! The others took 10 days to arrive. Not bad!
