Are WR200 parts compatible with YZ250

I have a 1992 Yamaha WR200 that I purchased about 3 weeks ago. I was wanting to replace a few of the plastic parts and other miscellaneous items. However, parts for a '92 model are not abundant. Is it true that YZ parts are compatible with the WR models? Specifically the plastic body parts and seat cover.

Thanks much

I would not think so my friend had a 92 wr 250 and I had a 95 yz 250 and they were worlds different in the body part. also looking at pictures of the older yz 250's like 93 94 92 they all look like mine and the wr's have a full shroud and the yz's have like a half tank half shroud. you would have to modify the frame to fit the tank and the sub frame to fit the side panels.

The plastics and seat cover definately do not interchange with YZs. I was able to get a seat cover from MXSouth a few years ago for my WR. The plastics are still available from Yamaha but they are expensive. I found some good used plastics from internet auction site. A front fender from a YZ will fit the WR but wont have the hole that the headlight/number plate fits into. Some of the rear suspension parts look like they will interchange, swingarm, shock, and linkage, thats about it.
