1999 CR Pipe fit 1997?

I have a 1997 CR250, and was under the initial impression that 97-99 were essentially the same bike, and thus had interchangeable parts... Well after browsing for a pro circuit pipe, it looks like the catalogs are grouped for 97-98, and 99. My question was if a pro circuit pipe from a 1999 would fit a 1997? Anyone know? Thanks!

i used to race a 2000 cr 80 and i had a 99 dep pipe on that but i don't know if it would fit a 97 model

my 97 cr 250 had a 99 fmf pipe on it.

That is all the convincing I need. Found a pristine pro circuit platinum for 100 bucks to replace my very well used platinum.... Thanks guys.
