Anyone know of an effective way of cleaning out an exhaust pipe. I had bad engine seals in my KX250. The burning of the oil put a thick layer inside of my exhause pipe (FMF Gnarly) and I would like to remove that gunk. Any Ideas.

Thanks,
KC

I just put mineral spirits, or hell....regular old gasoline might take it out....

But, I've also heard that if you pour a little solvent *mineral spirits or gas* and take a nice-size handful of BB's *yes, like you shot out of your BB gun as a kid* and shake the hell outta it, it takes off alot of the crap.

hope this helps.

engine degreaser & a brush.

possibly acetone or laquer thinner? whatever you use, make sur you rinse the pipe with a lot of water and dry it before re-installing it.

put a rose bud oxy acetalyne torch and burn it out. works great just burns the oil right out of it.

acetalyne torch. Just heat the bend closest to the engine until it glows red. Allow it to cool for a while the stuff on the inside holds a lot of heat then take a wire brush to it followed by an air compressor to blow the rest out (this will distort the finish)

brake cleaner works good for removing junk off of anything metal, also agree with ihone, a handful of bb's and some gas or kerosene will do wonders
