Hi,

I've been looking at getting some Michelin's but have read they have smaller sizes than others, should I order a larger than stock size?

Stock is 80/100 -21 front 100/90 -19 rear

I was thinking M12 front @ 80/100 and S12 back @ 110/90 or 120/80.

Any pros or cons on getting a larger back tire?

Thanks

The Michelin "weird sizing" tires are about 20mm less wide than indicated. If your CR125 uses a 100 the Michelin equivalent would be their 120. My CR250s use a 110 and the Michelin equivalent is their 130. The front is a no-brainer, they've only got one width in 21".

It seems Michelin uses standard sizing for their Starcross line.

Thanks

Is there any advantage to getting an even larger tire than stock, I was thinking of getting a 110?

Yeah if you want to go slower, have less traction, and screw up your handling. Actually, I don't want to get it in to the whole oversized tire thing, I just wanted to help out on the goofy Michelin sizing.
