2000 rm 250

just bought a 2000 rm 250 about a week ago . bike is verry tight inside i would say fires up with 1 kick and lots of compression . mixing pump 93 gas with klotz l@ 32:1. on start up and until i pound it around for a while it smokes pretty bad then clears up. didnt have time to rip carb apart yet to find out what jetting it has.just one ? what jetting you guys run on say a 70 degree weather day thx.... :ride: :ride: :ride:

If the bike iddles some time its quite normal for the carb to load up. On a new to you bike you'd better take off carb and have a look what the previous owner ran. Even better to take off the exhaust and peak in there just to make sure if I'd need a new top end or not. A high compression does not mean the top end is not worn.

I own YZ, but when I had my RM250 I ran the bike with 48/NP3/175. Airscrew 1.5 to 2 turns out.
