1996 rm 250

hi guys..just bought a older 1996 rm 250 and its suppose to have a new top end and a new flywheel...starts up one or 2 kicks :) .seems at full throttle its like dead .1/4 throttle seems fine.or should i say when its in third and open it up it seems dead... seems to be loading up big time
could be a carb problem? jeting ?

assuming you have fresh premix in it and a clean air filter i would start with a carb cleaning, when you get it back in the dirt if it still does this get pics of your spark plug and let these guys know the exact throttle range it is having problems regardless of gear, and if it is sputtering or just bogging

ps, looks like a nice find........but do something with that chain :boss:
seriously though i wouldnt ride without the front sprocket guard on

could be if you put parts for a 96 in it they are wrong because that is at best a 95
