Hello everyone.

I have a 2001 rm250 and would appreciate it if anyone can give the stock oil height and oil weight(w) for my forks. I would also appreciate it if anyone can explain what the difference in fork oil designations do and how they effect your riding ex. 5w 10w 15w.

Just call your closest Suzuki dealer and ask them. They are there to help.

The higher the weight number of the oil, the thicker it is which means the forks will be "stiffer" when hitting bumps. But of course most bikes have adjustable forks and shocks to fine tune the softness or stiffness of them. If you put 5 weight oil in the forks and they bottom out too easily then you can try 10 weight if the forks are non-adjustable. Your dealer can tell you if they are adjustable or not.
