i have a moto tassinari reed cage on my 2002 cr250 and its set in the same postion as when i got it (high tension i belive)has anybody expermented with the low tension setting? i spoke with tech at moto tassinari and they said on this bike the low setting will not shorten reed life like it will on most other bikes (they said to disregard the warning in the instructions about shorting reed life and that that was there for other bikes but not the 2002 cr250) i am thinking of trying the low tension, if you have tried the low tension setting please let me know what you think i would really like to hear everbodys opinions on this.

I run them on the low tension setting (97 CR267), but made too many other changes to tell what effect they have.

I'll move this to the Performance area so it will hopefully get better responses.

I have tried both the low and hi tension on my '99 CR144 . I honestly did not notice a difference in low end but unfortunately I believe the the upper-end ended up running a little flatter.

i've tried both settings on my '02 and i liked the high tension better. the low setting seemed to make my bike too rich off the bottom, with my 'standard' jetting. but of course it could of been the weather that certain day, different air density etc..........

I have a Y02 cr25 and put the V-force in. My friend who has a YZ250 said the bottom was still weak. I put the setting to Torque setting a got a big
surprise. the bike got a lot of bottom end and I did not lose any top.
I like it better in this setting! Only issue is that the bike smoked badly.
I went down on the main one size and that solved the problem.

Just do it and you wont switch back! :D

Is the "torque setting" the low or high tension setting?

Std setting that in comes in is the High for mid and top.
The Low/Torque setting you have to loosen the reed stop screws
and push the reed stop forward. You can go to their website and get
a pictorial instructions if you threw yours out. For trail riding it is a must.
I put it on the torque setting and did not feel like I lost any top. But I had to drop the main jet one size because the bike smoked real bad. Dropping the main jet one size solved the problem.

How do you like the WER stearing dampner? I was thinking about buying it. I would appreciate any feedback about it and how it works on the honda 250. my email is SANTIAG@PACBELL.NET

ps The RG3 work great. 4 rubber caps that are softer than the stock. My arm pump went down. I love them but did not love the price. I am waiting for my flex bars. I will post a message when I test them.

I prefer not to make any changes that force a jetting change unless there is a significant improvement but I'll give it a try.
