Internally the 48's are simmlair to the 01 the major difference being a redisgined spring guide. The shock on the other hand is a dramaticallt improved unit. The 2002 SX shock is much improved in almost all aspects. The forged upper body fetures improved oil passages. The 1998-2001 body is on the right..
