i have an 03 cr250 with an fmf pipe. i was wondering if anyone has had a problem with the pipe not completely sealing at the head. ive put new o-rings and even tried on another fmf pipe but still have an exhaust leak right out of the head.

Yeap, I had that problem w/my KX250. I replace the pipe gasket, and it stopped. Look at your springs, might be a good
idea to replace them also. They will lose their recoil over time.

yeah i have never tried replacing the springs but they are really hard to put on still so i figured they were still good. my pipe still wiggles around on the exhaust flange so i figured it was a fitment problem. thank you for the replies though. i might try another set of springs

I always replace the seal, clean everything REALLY well (brake cleaner works well) and then a small amount of copper silicone. Works every time and my son's CR125 will get the same treatment some time this summer when it's time for a new top end. Until then it just get's cleaned.
