This is my first thumper as well so I can't talk from a lot of experience, but I can tell you what I did. I used the stock header, FMF Factory 4 slip on, and a twin air filter. Left the screen alone because I have heard from alot of A riders that it is more a mental thing than an actual power gain but who am I to judge, I am a C rider lol. When I had everything on, the bike pulled smooth and clean up to the top but had a bit of a bog off idle and was a bit hard to start cold and didn't want to idle cold at all. I bought the FMF Stage one jet kit, per their reccomendation, went down to a 154 main, more tapered needle, and 2.5 out on the air screw. The bike will crank second kick cold and first hot all day long, low end bog is completely gone and the acceleration although a bit more violent is still clean and crisp, more power up top and no lean pops on decel. I love it the way it sits, I am told I can go 4 more leaner on the main but I don't see the point unless I can outride what it has to offer now.
