My buddy's '05 KX250 constantly dumps gas out of the gas cap breather, down onto the front fender. It does this during normal riding, with even a half tank of gas, and dumps enough fuel that he's constantly having to refill. When comparing his KX gas cap to my CR cap, it obviously doesn't have the integral plastic tube that extends down into the tank which helps keep gas out of the breather. My CR only dumps gas like that when it's laid down.. Just wondering if anyone has experienced this, and if so, have you found a fix? Alas, the CR cap has a different diameter and won't fit the KX tank. Neither will his '00 KX cap. He is going to try one of those shorty breather valves, but is a little concerned about dumping gas into his lap instead of down the steerer tube. Just to reiterate - it is definitely dumping an abnormal quantity of gas out onto the fender, and yes the check valve is installed in the breather and is pointing in the right direction. -pace
