2008 Klx450r !!!

I think you made the right choice with the yz. The new KLX just hasn't made its name the same way the KDX has. People shouldn't beleive everything a magazine says about a bike.

KDX with 2 gal of gas,heavy duty tubes,and 8oz slime in the front 16 oz in the rear. 243lbs I will give the KLX a year then I will give er a shot.

So close but so far....

The UK website of Kwak says it has rear brake lights, yet yesterday I had a look at a machine in the dealers and couldn't find any switches and only two wires in the loom to the rear led light unit.
It looked a great machine and felt easy enough to lift, but if i buy one, fitting a road legal kit is going to put another £150 on it, which makes it £5550 on the road. ie, very expensive.
Think I may wait a little and see what the BMW 450 enduro looks like.

I agree about the weight........at least too riders of dwarf like stature as myself........20-30 lbs is a lot when wrestling a bike through tight woods...... My KDX seems like a tank compared to my CR250........ Just my 2 cents but if I were to buy a four stroke, I'd get a KXF250 motocrosser (204 lbs dry) modify it for woods riding.....skids, lower gearing........simpler....no battery, less wiring.......... again, it's whatever floats your boat......... I like as light and as thin a profile as possible...... some people ride KLR 650's in the woods and think it's wonderful.......... if I were a bigger guy, I probably wouldn't mind a 275 lb dirt bike.........or if I rode in wide open spaces or fire roads.........I'd most likely feel different........
