It's interesting how the euros go after the niche markets with the oddball displacements.

Of course, most disposable income comes from the vets and trail riders, so why not focus on them? Sweet lookin' ride, for sure.

Now they need to make a DOT street legal Supermoto version. ;)

Wonder what it will weigh. I hope it is a success. A lot of people have been mumbling about wanting a 300-350cc thumper.

I'd really like a 350 FI thumper, a 310 FI might actually be better.

The header pipe is interesting. Nice bike, but I was hoping they would change their radiator shroud design for 2009.

Looks like Husky is gonna fire the first shot, and it looks like a good one.

Sweet looking bike, but I have to ask why? Whats the market for the odd displacement? Vets and open class lean to the 450+ displacement.

Most bikes never get raced, so "class" structures don't mean much in the big scheme of things. There are a whole lot of big bore 250Fs running around out there. ;)

Lots of off-road guys around here are wanting one.

The 450 is too much in the woods for some around here and the 250 4-banger could use more low end.

A lot of people have gone to 290 kits and LOVE them.

In the South East the Husky is definitely being watched.

I hope they sell a zillion of them. I've never put a big bore 250F together that the rider didn't totally love. Husky did it the right way in my opinion, by increasing the bore size only. Good power in the right places and less need to rev the bike.

If they build an SM version that is DOT legal, I'll be down at MCC with cash in hand.

I believe the TE's are DOT legal already. I know the TE450 and TE250 are in my area but not sure how that translates to the other states.

Right now I am saving my pennies for an Athena 290 kit next year... but the TE310 is really tempting. Especially since my favorite shop is a Husky dealer.

dunno man, I'd rather be stroked than bored.

Milk, he prefers to be bored.

We have this discussion every time . . .

Rich, would you like to elaborate on why "increasing the bore size only" was the right way? I'm not in the market for this thing, I was just curious. FWIW I am at least partly enlightened to the engine dynamics of a short or long(er) stroke motor, I just thought maybe there was something else going on, especially on a motor this oversquare. Do you think that that may be because there are no other options available? I race a 250 thumper in the vet classes because I can ride it faster than the 450 (plus it is just much more fun to ride). Most tracks my 250 does well, but there are some others that I wish I had just a bit more grunt. The 350 may be just the ticket.
