am in the process of replacing the piston on my 220r. as i had the cylinder head off and was looking down the barrel i turned the engine over slowly using the kickstart by hand and noticed something kinda strange.
at bdc the top of the piston covers the transfer ports by about 3-4mm?? this seems very strange, it must reduce the size of the port opening by a fair amount. it must affect the flow of the transfer ports also as the incoming air mixture would come out of a round port and hit the top square edge of the piston etc.. is this the same on a kdx200?
anyone come across this before?
