Ran acrossed another possible project bike, it's a 82 IT 465;
The question is, what was the differences between the IT and YZ, was it just cosmetic ??

IT 465 has a wider ratio gear box, lighting coil, & a heavier flywheel. Suspension is the same as the 81 YZ 465.

IT 465 is one of my all time favorite motors....The chassis is another story. ;)

I thought the IT big bores were clunkers, but maybe it was just the IT490 I had.
What a dog, a good running 250 would run away from it.

Well I snagged the IT 465 and I'm talking to someone about a 81' YZ 465, I'll post some before and after shots when I get them done.

Another difference between the IT and the YZ, the IT motor used a different cylinder that has tons of low end power.

I have an 81 YZ465 that has ungodly low end power. I hate that I am going to have to sell it to get my next toy.

Well I have to wait till the race this Sunday to pick it up and I can't wait to get started on it, also, if all goes well I hope to pick up a 82' KTM 495 the week after, this will be great, both bikes can be raced in the new EVO class that has been added for the 05 season..........looks like I'm going racing again :yeehaw:
