Hello all,
I was just curious of how the B.A.S.S. system (brake assisted suspension system?) actually worked.
I don't have a 1985 YZ but I am a yz buff of sorts and just found out about this system on the 85's and couldn't figure out exactly what It did and how it was effective.
Thanks guys!

Basicaly when you hit the rear brake pedal , there is a cable that opens a bypass valve in the rear shcok . The valve is located at the compression adjuster . It allowed the rear wheel to move more freely when the rear brake was applied .
