Will sliders from a 92-93 bike fit? Also, will any other years fit after 93? I cannot find any sliders for my bike anywhere. The earliest I find is 92, but I know my bike has them because I removed the broken one that was remaining recently.

Thanks everyone! :ride:

Do you mean the guards that protect the lower tubes from roost? Or are you referring to the tubes? The lower tube protectors are still listed OEM and aftermarket, so if thats what you are after, I'm not sure why you are having a tough time finding them.

If you go to Bike Bandit under OEM parts they still list new Suzuki OEM ones, and in their aftermarket ones they list UFO ones as well. They are available, you just haven't found them yet.

No problem. At least you care enough to put a new set on and protect your fork seals and lower tubes, a lot of people would have just left them off thinking they'd be fine without them. As to be able to locate them, some places only want to list the newest stuff, and even though something is available, they won't show it. Lots of stuff is still available and you may just have to call them to get it.

Definitely - I tend to ride in some narrow canyons at times when I go out to the desert here, so I want to make sure everything is protected in case I get a bit too aggressive on the throttle (which I am definitely known for lol).

I have been pretty much going over this bike and replacing anything worn and making it nice once again. I really like the bike, and feel that the early 90s Zooks were awesome 2 strokes.

I'd have to agree, they were pretty good bikes for the era, and are still decent today.

More people should be willing to put some time, effort and money into keeping a decent older bike in good shape, instead of abusing them and then dumping them for newer iron. Sure there are improvements on newer bikes, but I can't outride my bike, so a newer one might offer some improvements, but I can have just as much fun on the bike that is paid for as on one that I have to get a loan to buy. Until then, I'll keep riding the one I've got as its still in good shape and I don't get to ride it near enough as it is to justify replacing it.

I have the same philosophy with mine. Sure, I can go out and drop 6k on a new Honda CR250 and have a great looking bike, but the first and inevitable wreck, complete with broken plastics and all, would end that in a second. I like the fact that I can ride my bike hard without worrying about scratching the graphics, etc. I ran it against a 03 YZ250 and was dead even. I like to have fun with my bike, and that involves riding the hell out of it. Parts may not be as plentiful as newer iron, but you have provided me with some good resources I can use in combination with existing ones I know about.

If I ever buy another bike, it will not be brand new, and will probably be a thumper, but who knows. The Zook has so much life left in her. :)
