94 RM = same motor as 94 RMX 250?

does the rm 250 and rmx 250 have the same engine?
mine is a rmx 250 and i want to put a new exhaust on it. i have seen one that is for a rm 250--same year. will it fit?

Similar enough to share many parts but not the pipe; the RMX has a smaller exhaust port (for off-road power/conditions) - hence, different pipe.
