96' CR250 clutch...Tusk or 2001 OEM?

I am installing new plates and springs in my 1996 CR250. I found a Tusk Off-Road kit from RockyMountain for under $40. I also found a new complete clutch assembly from a 2001 CR250 less inner hub for $48. Should I get the OEM parts or the Tusk? Will the 2001 clutch fit? I'd only use the plates and springs. All of this is the same part number except for two of the plates...any ideas? Thanks!!!

If you get the Tusk kit, please let us know how it works. I cannot imagine RM selling garbage, but the price is so low...well, you get it!

Thanks guys, think I'll go with the stock unit...I just wanted the steel plates and a $10 savings. ;)

I just put a Tusk clutch in my KX500. Under $40 and new springs were included.

I'll scream for ya if it doesn't work.

I have a TUSK kit in my '01 YZ125. It has been in there for a while now and I have had no problems with it at all. I too was worried because of the low $$ but all seems well. I would not hesitate to buy another TUSK kit.
