Had a family trip to Honduras a few weeks ago, and thought I would share a few photos.

The community crapper...

Bringing up some water from the well for a shower...

They take these things out into the ocean to go fishing...

Guard dog...

I popped an off camera flash 3 or 4 times from different locations for this shot. I'm pretty sure it was a 20 second exposure.

Outstanding shots Squid. Looks like you know how to shoot even when there are no triples in sight. ;)

The first pic is my favorite, the colors you captured really work well.

For fun I popped it into CS2 and converted it to B&W using negative blue toning on one and Konica 750 Infrared film emulation on another version. Both looked pretty cool.

Excellent work.

The first one is Ilford 200 SFX Infrared film emulation, second is Konica 750 IR film emulation, and the third is negative blue processing. I did all these with the Alien Skin Exposure plug-in for CS2.

I had to cut the border off and compress it a bit to get it to fit in the attachment boundaries. It looks better with the border you put on.

Thanks man. I like the 2nd one best. I'll have to look into the Alien Skin plugin.

The Konica IR film really makes the sky POP. I use that one a lot. You can modify the grain structure so it's less prominent, and you can tweak a ton of other parameters as well.

It also does a ton of cool color film emulations. I really like shooting landscapes so it's hard not to like the saturated look of Velvia 100f film (example below) . ;)

They have a full working 30 day trial version of all their plug-ins. They are pretty amazing, and well worth a look for the work you do.

Thanks a lot guys.

Doug, I was having a great time doing the night stuff, but I was usually just too damn tired to go out after dinner to do any. I had planned on doing some evening family photos with the aid of a tripod, but it never panned out.

As for the crapper shot, my 5 year old daughter was in there while I was taking the shot. For some reason she wasn't able to get the job done. lol

that water is so clear and perfect for diving

If you go diving in this particular spot, you better watch out for the brown trout! :uh:

Awesome photo's BTW!

Squid - I've been meaning to ask you. What PS plug-in are you using to do the frames on your pictures? They always look great and add a real professional touch.
