Adventurer Electrical Problem
This is the first time I've asked a question on the forums, but I'm stumped by an obvious problem with my bike. 1999 KTM Adventurer 640 I removed the lights for off-road riding last fall. I had the wires safely covered in plastic and the key switch hooked up with the battery arrangement. When I hooked up all the street legal lighting stuff, the only thing that works is the brake light. The engine starts fine and produces a charge to the battery, but theres no power to any of the lights. The fuse is good and I have a new spare key switch. The wiring system is strange. There are many different colored power wires and these block connectors that aren't identified for function on the electrical schematic in the owners manual. I'm sure I'm missing something simple, maybe an experienced KTM mechanic can tell me why my lights have no power. Thanks, looking forward to responses. Eric Gorr
