Advice on shifter adjustment

I'm feeling cramped on my crf and having trouble upshifting. With the way my legs are bent sitting down my foot is pointing pretty far down. I was thinking of rotating my shifter one notch down to bring it closer to the top of my foot when I'm sitting. Has anyone done this? Or is it a bad idea to have the lever lower then the foot peg?

My other thought is to try the 10mm brackets to lower the pegs. In this situation I guess I would have to lower the shifter and brake lever.

Anyone have opinions on a way to open up the riding position? I already ordering some taller bars with less pullback. I'm only 6' tall, but I have long legs which I think is killing me.

Thanks,
G

move the controls to wherever you can get at them quickly and easily. There's nothing wrong with having the lever lower than the peg other than it might catch on somthing easier.
