Thanks guys. Thank you for taking the time to watch.

Vintage Bob,

I agree with you totally.

The three essential questions for buying a used bike should be:

1) Have you ever changed the oil?

2) Have you ever loaned the bike to H6llyw66d?

3) Has it ever been across Jim Creek?

I'm starting to think that buying new is a really good idea.

I've had every intention of getting to work on the next edition, but it has been blowing 45 knots for the last four days. The temps have been hovering around 0 farenheit, dropping into the negatives at night. When you apply a windchill factor to that, it requires using the kelvin scale.

It's not that I'm being a sissy. It's the camera gear that has issues with the conditions. Not me. Really.

Really.

That title has never been more appropriate, but we finally made it out for a ride today.

It was -4f when we started. A week's worth of wind blew all of the snow off of the rivers and lakes that we rode on. Perfectly smooth, beautiful, unmolested ice. I felt like Chris Carr. The throttle dialed in the amount of drift precisely.

The cameras failed miserably. One got too cold to focus and the helmet cam's battery got too cold to operate.

Still, I won't forget it any time soon even without a video record.

We finally found a better day to ride on. Temps were at -5f, calm winds and an overcast. The clouds made for some very flat light, which made it very difficult to see the whoops along the snowmachine trails.

We made it about 70 miles and only had one major get-off. I always thought that it was nearly impossible to bend 1 1/8 aluminum bars but now I know how to.
