Howdy,
I bought a pair of KX 250 forks from a Fellow DRNer and I stripped the ugly, chipped light blue paint off of the forks, and I am told that I should use some sort of Aluminum Polish on the outer tubes. I bought these forks for a KX front end mod to my KDX. I want to know what the aluminum polish is, where I can get it, how to put it on the forks, and what it does. Any info would be great.

Mothers Aluminum Polish
I think it is more of an "etching" compound as opposed to abrasive.

Rub it on with a cloth and the surface will turn black-ish. Buff off the black with a clean cloth.

Airplanes use alot of this type of product. Try some of the outlets for airplane supplies.

Another one that works pretty good if you can find it is Met-al Aluminum Polish. Seems to clean up the Aluminum fishing boat every year alright.
