a few months back there was an article in cycle news about a guy racing a KDX with a REVLOC clutch and a Alum Subframe refit. I can't find the article now....anybody got any info?
Sounds interesting---have you tried going to the cycle news website and looking up articles in back issues? You may be able to order it. (But I have to admit I don't know if they even have a website!)
My friend has a KDX with a KX front end and a KX sub frame, also the team green rep Reed Nordine has a KDX with a KX front end, a hand made aluminin tank, so that he can run KX shrouds, a rev lock, and a KX sub frame...You have to cut the stocker off and weld up brackets for the KX on to bolt up. and there is some other tweaking he had to do. i can ask him for complete details about it if you want.
yes please find out the details - this forum would be a great place for it - i'm surprised there isn't mention of it justKDX. i checked the cyclenews website but a search turned up zip...

His name was Larry Rosseler and he was riding a Fredette Tricked out KDX/KX conversion. Since that time LR has moved on into dealing the "Orange" species in his new KTM shop located in California I think. I've seen alum subframes advertised in the back ad pages of Cycle News.
Actually the bike test is reffering to the Team Green guy's bike that is listed above, I remember reading about it too, especially the part about running KX shrouds and the al. tank. The rider was very impressed with the bike, I sure wish that a conversion like that is easy, I would try it.
