After watching the much argued heat contact I have to go with it being a clean pass that Travis screwed up in. There was little differance between the move that Travis put on Ricky a turn earlier. Travis did a textbook blockpass which RC backed off enough to avoid contact. Next Corner RC makes the same blockpass and this time instead of backing off Travis accelerated and hit RC's bike.
The infamous RC look back did occur but it was in the mode of looking back to see if RC was clear of the carnage. I wouldn't put it in the same class as the lookback RC did to Roncada last season which was more obviously a come and get me challenge.

What really caught my eye in the race was the Pastrana/ larocco crash. Luckily no major injuries in it and no fault to Travis but that one could have broken some legs bad

I just saw that on the idiot box and I could't belive how lucky Larocco was in that one esspecially with the ride he took under TP's bike :scream:

As for the pile up occouring from the camera angle it occoured at you could clearly see how deep thos whoops were. TP was commited to that line and it was an unfortunate mishap.

Did you see Travis slide his rear tire around to RC when he passed him? If RC hadn't have backed off, TP most likely would've swept his front tire out from under him! I think if I were RC I would've taken credit for taking TP out! Tp wheelied into him and RC spun out, completely sweeping the bike out from under Travis! You could see Travis raise his hands like "Where'd my bike go!!??" Yeah, that crash with LaRocco was terrible! Could've easily broken his hip! TP looked wasted in the interview after he pulled off the track.

Ya know, I hope ESPN gets their act together. They try to show so much, but you miss a lot too. Like the 125 heats......you could have watched crashes for the first half hour without seeing the same one twice! Those guys were going EVERYWHERE!! Bodies and bikes littered the track! You've got DB giving the race breakdown, talking about all of this exciting stuff going on, yet the camera is completely focused on Chris Gos. Now, give the man his credit, he was Very fast and ran a great race, but most of the RACING was happening behind him! The camera would then bounce from person to person, you never new where it was going, what part of the track it was on, and what was going to happen next. The cameras seemed a little too low too. The jumps on this track were massive, yet the camera was placed below them? Well, they'll get some practice in filming it, and hopefully get it together before too long. But, I better stop here. I'm lucky to be able to watch it PERIOD!!!

After seeing it, it was not a takeout by RC. Travis just pulled one of his bonehead moves and it failed. BTW I really like Travis and I hope he heals up.

He practiced at Phoenix yesterday and supercross.com said that he looked like he was feeling OK. Let's hope for another exciting race!

I noticed RC had to turn his front wheel to the right to keep TP from hitting him when he got passed. He would have been in the right to put TP down for that. RC knows Travis cannot run 20 consistent laps so he is no problem for him. At least Travis admitted what happened and did not blame RC.

I think RC gave it a little brake check in the block pass. Aggressive and definite, but not dirty. It looked to me as if Trav decided to bump RC to let him know he was there and not backing off. It also looked like he was being tentative with the bump. Unfortunatly for Trav, when you bump someone block passing you if you don't make sure they fall, odds are you end up taking yourself out instead. Hope Trav learned his lesson. He is just too nice a guy and even when he tries a bad boy racing move, he's no good at it.

I agree, the Rock crash could have left someone hurt serioiusly. I place partial blame on the flag set up. The flag man started waving the yellow right away, but was just off the track right by LaRocco in the low spot where he could hardly be seen. They should have had a platform just off from the highest point to wave the flag from. Not sure if it would have come in time for Trav to aviod the crash, but certianly Byrne and Tedesco could have singled had the flag been in a better position. After Tedesco one of the other flagmen jumped up on the hill to flag and everyone after that slowed in time.

TP was on the jump ramp leading to the whoops ( pretty much in the air)when Larocco crashed. My question is where were the flagmen for the next 6 guys? P.S. the booing was waaaay loader then you saw om TV.

Yep, Oldguy has it dead right, watched it on the box today and it was a bonehead move by TP (whom I like). RC has all these guys thinking that they have to take him out to stop him, and yet he is painted as the bad guy, oh well. I don't personally think any of these guys deserve to get booed (even if it's cause Pred doesn't like them), but RC seems to be cast as our wwf bad guy, he'll just have to settle for being the fastest, not the most popular!Ihope that Reed and RC go head to head tonight, that's waht I want to see (or hear)
