So, are there any drag racing fans out there in DRN world? I've been going to the Winternationals and Winston Finals in Pomona since I was a kid. My dad started taking me and I've just continued with the tradition.

I should be there on Saturday. I'll probably do the K&N discount general admission thing--sucky seets, but for half price. . .

Well, if there are any drag racing fans out there, who planning on attending this Saturday, let's try to get together.

Definately a drag racing fan but had to choose between the winter nationals and supercross. No brainer! Burnt up the kitchen pass last weekend, sorry, love to, but can't! Enjoy

My dad's company sponsor the Canadian Top Alcohol Dragster champion, we went to the Winter nationals a few years back and got spanked pretty darn good :( But it was still a hoot.

PS, We were the first T.A.D in Canada to break the 6 second barrier, I believe the time was 5.87 in Canada:)

Well Elk, sorry to hear about that! I thought that it was easier for you to get kitchen passes now that the Home Shopping Network issue was settled. Just set the channel and sit her in front of the TV and sneak out ;)

I have been to Pomona, flew out a few years ago to help my buddy race in Comp Eliminator. I crewed on his car for about 5 years. He still races, not so much NHRA, little IHRA, and quick series now.

We had the first B/ED to run over 180mph, not bad for a small block w/ a single 4bbl on gas.

I bracket raced my chevelle for several years.

The only NHRA stuff I follow to any degree is PROSTOCK cars & trucks, because they're almost REAL cars. Or at least they resemble something similar to a car. The funny cars & Top Fuel Dragsters are just plain freak shows. Sure, they're exciting, but ridiculous.

I really like the NMCA, NSCA. That's where the best action is for me. Unfortunately, I have to follow the results on the Internet. No coverage. Nothing like the real world showdown between Reiger and his twin turbo'd smallblock facing off against Christian's nitrous'd bigblock. Different concepts. Different theory. Same result. Great racing. And a lot of hot tempers.

Hot Rod TV and Horsepower TV covered NMCA every weekend.

I agree with pro Stock. I follow it very closely. I couple years ago we went to the Pro Stock Superbowl in Houston to test. That was cool. Very laid back testing. The company I work for builds the DRCE blocks for GM. I got to meet WJ and Larry Morgan and had a cool talk with WJ. He is the MAN!

You will get to watch Rieger and Christan in NHRA Pro Mod this year.

Bill, you know how women are, nothing's good enough. Now she watches that HSN poop on MY big screen. She wants to see the jewlery up close. It drives me nuts, how can you stare at someone elses hand with some funky piece of poop on it! Anyway you look at it, the kitchen pass is still smokin.

And Canada boy, you wouldn't have half the people living there if it weren't for the draft dodgers!!!:):):)LOL j/k Go drink your mountain pee spanky!

My kingdom for a case of Molson Black Ice.........

As for drag racing, men running around in dresses seems too odd for me. Oh wait, you meant cars..........

Never mind.

:)

I have to agree with you Nephron, the Top Fuel cars are freak shows, but they're just so cool

I don't know much about cars, I have a hard enough time just working on my bike! But, for me some of the most entertaining RACING are the bracket races.
